Questions when and if they arrise.- What is WidgetServer?
- Why as an Eclipse plugin?
- Where is the help?
This is best answered on the WidgetServer Framework page. Basically it is a framework to develop applications that may be deployed as either thick or thin or as a mixture of both. Features like AJAX and model binding are handled by the framework.
First off, Eclipse is popular and comes, as is, quite capable of handling most development needs. Eclipse is designed to be extended (making our work easier) and has many useful features (cvs, local history, formating, JIT to name a few) that one needs in development. Plus the total collection of plugins that others develop only leads to a better environment to develop in.
Under the Eclipse Help system. From the top menu, select "Help", and then "Help Contents", then scroll down to the "WidgetServer Help Reference".
